From award to payment
Once awards are published, the requiring body deposits compensation with the Collector. Payment is made to entitled persons — or deposited in court if disputed. Under LARR, affected families also receive R&R benefits which may include housing, employment, annuity, and skill training per Schedule II.
Payment workflow
- Award acceptance / lapse of objection
Claimant accepts or statutory period for reference expires.
- Payment voucher generation
Treasury bill / NEFT details prepared per beneficiary.
- Disbursement
Bank transfer or cheque; receipt acknowledged digitally.
- R&R delivery
Plots, employment, annuity — tracked separately from land value.
- Possession & handover
Land handed to project authority; mutation in revenue records.
- Project closure
Final compliance report — all awards paid, R&R delivered, file archived.

A project is legally complete only when every award is disbursed (or deposited), R&R commitments are fulfilled or funded, possession is documented, and the audit trail is available for RTI / court scrutiny.
